What is the difference between "Digitally Composite" and "Digital Parts"?


Digital parts
With the digital parts, you'll receive each individual piece of the star cutout as a separate JPEG file in a ZIP archive . You can print the pieces yourself on A4 paper , cut them out , and glue them together to create the star cutout in its original format —for that authentic feel, just like in the classic editions.

What do you mean by the star cutouts being put together?

We scanned the individual parts of all the star cutouts, digitally cut them out, and then assembled them. We then painstakingly retouched any visible cut edges, minor imperfections, and color variations caused by the printing techniques of the time. You will receive a PDF file containing a fully assembled, high-quality star cutout in its original size.

My printer only prints the star cutout on one A4 page, it is not life-size

First of all, let me say: The star cutout is life-size! If your printer only prints the star cutout on one side, you'll need to change your printer's settings. Theoretically, you can decide how large you'd like your star cutout to be. 'Life-size' means you can print the star cutout up to life-size without the image quality suffering or becoming pixelated. Many of our customers (and ourselves) have the star cutouts printed by a professional copy shop. They print the star cutouts in the desired size and quality, and you can choose the paper (cardboard, film, etc.) you want to use.

Can I get the star cutout printed out already?

Unfortunately, that's not possible. We want to provide you with a high-quality product at a fair price. If we were to deliver the star cutouts pre-printed, the price would be significantly higher due to the printing and delivery costs. Furthermore, you wouldn't be able to decide on the size and material.
