musikexpress celebrates its 800th issue – with the most important albums of all time
It comes in golden colours! And rightly so! With issue eight from 2022, the magazine celebrates musik express is publishing its 800th issue . Born in the Netherlands in 1956 and translated into German in 1969, musik express (ME for short) has delighted its loyal readers for 66 years.
And the ME has dedicated almost the entire anniversary issue to one topic: "Albums that changed our lives." " Ours," in this case, refers to 40 authors and 40 musicians who share which album by which artist steered their lives in new and/or different directions.
It's a good thing the protagonists weren't asked about their first album. So gems like Modern Talking, Roberto Blanco, and the Kastelruther Spatzen are left out.
